John Canal is the Chairman and CEO of Bunkers International. Mr. Canal founded Bunkers International as a trading/brokering company in 1995 in Cartagena, Colombia. Under his leadership, the company has grown steadily into a global leader in the bunker supply business, with offices and operations around the globe. Mr. Canal also initiated the company’s move into physical supply in Colombia and Costa Rica. Now headquartered in Orlando, Florida, the company continues to grow under his leadership. Prior to founding Bunkers International, Mr. Canal worked at Coastal Corporation in a variety of sales and management positions. Mr. Canal is an active member of the International Bunkering Industry Association.
Maria Canal is Senior Vice-President of Bunkers International and a Director of the company. Mrs. Canal has served continuously on the board of the company since it’s founding, and was involved in day-to-day operations during the critical start-up period during the late 1990s.
Mona Forster is Managing Director of Bunkers International UK Ltd. Ms. Forster oversees all the company’s strategic agencies around the world. She brings over 15 years of experience in bunker brokering and trading to the company. Ms. Forster operates out of the company’s United Kingdom office and has global responsibilities and customers. Ms. Forster has served on the board of directors of the International Bunkering Industry Association.
Bill Preusch has been an integral part of Bunkers International since joining the company in 2000 and holds the position of Vice President of Sales and Trading. Mr. Preusch has more than 27 years of varied experience in the bunkering and maritime industries. These experiences include management of bunker supply and transport companies, selling, trading, and brokering marile fuels, design and construction of bunker terminals, barge management, and time at sea aboard tankers. Mr. Preusch's primary are of focus is our Colombian bunker supply operation as well as trading and brokering throughout the Americas.
Al Canal is Vice President of Finance and Marketing for Bunkers International. Mr. Canal joined the company in 2006 bringing 20 years of experience in the technology industry in a variety of sales, marketing, and management roles. Mr. Canal has worked at several large technology companies including Hewlett Packard, Xerox, and Nokia. He has also worked at several start-up companies such as Intellisync Corporation, which was acquired by Nokia in 2006. Mr. Canal oversees the companies finance, marketing, and information technology teams.
David Noakes is Director of Bunkers International UK Ltd. Mr. Noakes has responsibility for sales in Europe and with strategic accounts globally. Mr. Noakes also oversees the company’s sales teams targeting the Middle East and lower Mediterranean regions. He has over 18 years of experience in the bunker business, having worked on the fuel procurement side for P&O and as a trader with other organizations before joining Bunkers International in 2003.
Din Hamzah is Director of Bunkers International Singapore. Mr. Hamzah has 29 years of experience in the bunker business, having worked in a variety of technical and operational roles prior to becoming a broker/trader. Since 1992, Mr. Hamzah has worked as a broker/trader before joining Bunkers International in 2005. Mr. Hamzah has responsibility for sales and trading in the Asia/Pacific region.
Ahmet Cagatay is Director of Bunkers International Turkey. Mr. Cagatay has 14 years of experience in the bunker industry. Mr. Cagatay served as a manager or managing director for several firms prior to joining Bunkers International in early 2006, where he helped the company establish operations in Istanbul, Turkey. Mr. Cagatay manages brokering and trading operations throughout the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Black Sea. |
