Bunkers International opens a new bunker trading office in the New York Metro area
Darrell Cardoza, President of Island Marine Oil Brokers, Inc. joins Bunkers International to lead the New York team with a focus on global marine trading.
Orlando – September 30, 2008 – Bunkers International Corporation (www.bunkersinternational.com) has opened a new bunker fuel trading office in the New York Metro Area. Darrell Cardoza, president of Island Marine Oil Brokers, Inc. will join Bunkers International as a Senior Trader with responsibility for overseeing the new operation. The new office will add additional support for the companys’ customers, ship owners, and trusted brokers that currently use Bunkers Internationals’ trading and physical supply services and operations. The products and services provided to customers by Island Marine Oil Brokers, Inc. will be offered by Bunkers International immediately and operations will continue without interruption. Bunkers International expands into the South African Bunkering Market
New company-owned sales office will address the needs of the South African bunkering market.
Orlando – March 6, 2007 – Bunkers International Corporation (www.bunkersinternational.com) has opened a company-owned sales office in Cape Town, South Africa to serve the South African and African bunkering market. Named “Bunkers International South Africa”, this new office will offer bunker services directly to the market in South Africa and offshore markets west and east of the African continent and to ports associated with those areas. Prior to opening this office, Bunkers International worked with partners in the region.
Bunkers International has appointed Brian Turnbull and Mark Wild as directors of the new entity. Both Mr. Turnbull and Mr.Wild have extensive experience in bunkering and have worked at length in the African bunker market. “We are very excited about the South African market,” said John Canal, President of Bunkers International. “When we combine the global reach of Bunkers International with the market knowledge of the local sales team, our worldwide customers will be able to get global service with a local touch.”
